This USMC Auction Egg is being donated to the Salvation Army Shoe Fund, WFLS Radio Station here has an auction the week of the 13th to raise money for their children's Christmas shoe fund. On the back of the egg, where it says Gunny, will be personalized with the recipients name and rank. This is an egg I wanted to carve for quite some time but never seemed to have the time
to do. It is a tribute to the wild mustangs that once galloped over the mountains and across the vast praries of this country; Wild and Free like the wind. I'm glad I waited until I had the time to spend carving and sculpting this egg since I ended up putting more hours in it then I thought I would but I believe the effort and time were well worth it. I hope you enjoy viewing it. It is an ostrich egg with five wild mustangs galloping around it and there are six pictures that will take you on a short trip around the egg. The newest egg is Native Spirit, an Eagles Head on an ostrich egg, which has as much natural detail sculpted into the shell as possible, including some feathers that are undercut so far they look like they are actually raised above the shell.
